Electric cars are a great idea to fight climate change. These cars don't need fuel to run, they need electricity, and you can recharge their battery at home. Because of this, they don't pollute the air. Electric cars are very silent and this is a big advantage because in big cities like Madrid cars make a lot of noise.
But electric cars aren't perfect. These cars can't go very fast without recharging their battery, and recharging the battery takes at least half an hour. So, if you go from Madrid to Sevilla, you must stop and recharge the battery, and the trip will be at least half an hour longer. These cars have also another disadvantage, you can't charge them everywhere, and there aren't many recharge points in Spain.
Recently people are developing cars that need hydrogen to run. These cars work with an hydrogen battery and they obtain electricity from this battery, not from the recharging points. These cars can go further without recharging their battery than electric cars. And recharging the battery only takes 5 or 6 minutes. The only disadvantage is that there are only 6 recharge points in Spain.
In my opinion, both electric cars and hydrogen cars are a great idea to fight climate change, but people have to develop cars that can go further without recharging the battery and we need more recharging points because there aren't many of them. I think people will be still buying fuel or hybrid cars unless they fix the problems that electric cars have.
